A Hot Buttered Rum is the perfect drink to warm up with on cold winters night.
Hot Buttered Dark Rum Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 oz dark rum
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 pat of butter (approx 1 tsp)
- Hot Milk or Water
- Freshly ground nutmeg
Directions
Combine the dark rum and brown sugar in a mug. Fill the mug with hot milk or water. The classic Hot Buttered Rum is made with hot water, but hot milk makes a richer drink. Gently stir to mix the rum mixture and the milk or water. Finish by floating the pat of butter on the top of your cocktail and sprinkle with freshly ground nutmeg to taste.
